UBA SACKS THOUSANDS OF WORKERS

Thousands of workers were reportedly sacked by the United Bank of Africa (UBA) Friday, January 3, 2020.

This is not the first time UBA is terminating the employment of its staff.  The bank also downsized in 2018 by laying off some workers, but none has been as massive as the most recent.

Although there has been no official statement by the management of the bank, it is reported that over 4,000 new staff have been employed to fill in the vacant positions and increase the bank’s efficiency.
